Putin forbids paying dividends of local firms on foreign accounts
MOSCOW, Jul 5 (PRIME) -- President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on Tuesday forbidding Russians to pay dividend revenue from local companies on foreign accounts.
Residents were forbidden to pay foreign currency on their accounts with foreign banks or financial organizations on March 1. The current decree stipulates that the prohibition shall come into force if the money was dividends or profit distribution of Russian companies or cooperatives.
Putin also allowed a state commission to restrict paying foreign currency on accounts with foreign banks by Russian residents and on money remittances without banking account opening, if serviced by a foreign company.
